Jay is a 23 year old graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design. He's a florida native currently living and working as an independent illustrator in Portland, OR. As a professional illustrator, amateur photographer, and avid explorer, Jay creates works that reflect his travels and experiences, especially subjects that he considers wild and overlooked.
From mountain to forest to prairie to desert, Jay is inspired by the wild corners of North America and beyond. Solitude, life and death, and the connections within nature are the dominant subjects of many of his illustrations. Non-binary gender expression and the exploration of what it means to be human also play an important role in his life and body of work.
